Gonville Academy’s 2025 Black History Month Exhibition was all about celebrating this year’s theme, Standing Firm in Power and Pride. The best part? Every piece in the exhibition has been made by the children. From bold paintings and incredible sculptures to poems, stories, and even digital projects, the students used their creativity to shine a light on amazing Black figures throughout history. Their work highlights a wide mix of incredible people—artists, scientists, activists, and leaders—each brought to life in a way that feels fresh and inspiring. Walking through the display, you can really see how the children have connected with these stories, and it’s a reminder that the next generation is already carrying these voices forward with pride and imagination.
